The focus of investors in south-east Asia goes to the island of Lombok these days. Lombok is in only 20 min reach of Bali, it’s famous sister, and it is developing rapidly to become “Bali Mark II”. The local government already developed the Kaliantan area in the southeast of Lombok. New telecommuniction, roads, water- and power supply are in place. The region is 30 min away from the new international airport that is already under construction in central Lombok and glances with unspoiled beaches, christal-clear water and impressing cliffs. The Kaliantan area has everything to beccome a magnet for tourists, best conditions for diving, surfing and watersports of all kinds. The  new airport  will take some pressure from the Bali airport “Ngua Rai” which can not be extended. It will be possible to serve bigger airplaines like the Boeing 747 that could’nt land on the Selaparang airport in Mataram yet.

The EMAAR Group from Dubai signed a contract with the govenment of Lombok to develop the Kuta Lombok region. Several Luxury Resorts are planned along the coastline. This area is the favourite region for survers since years, does’nt hold the right infrastructure yet like bars and cafes. The prices for land are still very moderate on Lombok but they are rising Looking on the development of prices for property on Bali in the 80’s and now, Lomboks property market is going up. Altogether: Lombok is a excellent spot for investments.
