Where is the best Island(s) in South East Asia to go to in mid-January?

Question by SMF: Where is the best Island(s) in South East Asia to go to in mid-January?
I plan over needing a trip from Kuala Lumpur (where I currently live) to a chilled out island, relatively closeby, several otherwise would like to to avoid the monsoon/any bad weather.

I’ll be traveling over my own, that I just like to do severaltimes as well as I really would like to peace as well as quiet, a nice beach, plenty of sun as well as clear water. I would like to to avoid all of the horrific tourist traps as well as frompopulated, areas of the South-East Asian Islands.

As my girlfriend is fromseas as well as my friends are working, I would like to a place that I may just read a nice book, get a tan, eat several excellent local food, need stunning photos (I’m an amateur photographer) as well as recharge as for the eventual rat-race to come.

I have been to:
*Perhentian Islands (My favorite)
*Tioman (Ok-la)
*Redang (Too a lot of tourists… several otherwise met several fellow Londoners here!)
*Langkawi (Liked it)
*Bali (Need to explore more).

I was considering Phi Phi / Phuket / Boracay or overe of the Sulawesi Islands. I may even go back to Bali, several otherwise NW/NE as well as explore the SE Islands just like Lombok.
:P

No, Bali is amazing. The majority of beaches do not have anybody at the entire over them. It’s truly overly a really little portion of the island that is complete of tourists. Safer than Lombok, too.

Couldn’t say anything about the Gili islands, though. Never been there.
